Peters Valley Craft Center is celebrating its 40th anniversary of fine traditional and contemporary craft education on its 40 acre campus located in the picturesque Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. You could not feel further removed from the bustle of the everyday world and yet Peters Valley is located but a short drive from New York and other major East Coast cities. The air is clean, the atmosphere serene, the art invigorating.

Consider taking a mini-educational vacation with us this summer!

May through September: Peters Valley offers 2 - 5 day Adult Craft Workshops in it's 8 studios (Blacksmithing, Ceramics, Fibers (Surface Design & Weaving), Fine Metals (& Jewelry), Photography, Woodworking (& Woodturning), and Special Topics (Mixed Media: Glass, Painting, Sculpture, Printmaking, etc.).

The workshops are taught by nationally, and internationally recognized and accomplished artisans in their fields. Students may reserve lodging and meals right on the PVCC campus, or choose alternative housing.

Sunday Auctions: Every Sunday during the workshop season, PVCC holds a casual, fun, fundraising auction under the tent at the Kitchen at 1:30pm. The Studio Heads, Instructors, and Assistants provide art for auction, and give PVCC half, or more, of the proceeds to improve specific studios. The public is invited!

November through April: Peters Valley provides guest artist residency opportunities for practicing artists. These residencies may be one or two months in duration. We are currently restructuring this program, but don't hesitate to ask about it.

July: Peters Valley offers a Creative Kids Art (day) Camp. The program is available to all children ages 6 - 16. Six week-long sessions (Mon-Fri) run from the beginning of July through mid-August. The Art Camp offers your children concentrations in different mediums under the theme, "Art in Nature"., according to age. The program is run by competent artisans in these mediums and experienced in working with these age groups.

The Store & Gallery: The Peters Valley Store & Gallery offers hand crafted art and gifts hand crafted by more than 300 American Artisans. The second floor houses the Sally D. Francisco Gallery which features solo and group Gallery Exhibitions on a rotating basis.

Peters Valley Craft Center is dedicated to craft/art education to all ages. Many other programs are offered at the center including Summer Assistantships, Work Exchange programs, Scholarships, Art Teacher programs, and more.

Special annual events include a Spring Open House at the Center, A Grand Craft Fair at the Sussex County Fairgrounds in the Fall, a Fine Craft Auction & Benefit Dinner in the fall, an Iron Fest & Pig Roast at the Blacksmithing Studio in the fall, as well as other community minded participation during the year. This spring, Peters Valley introduced a Photographers Retreat weekend, which we hope will also become an annual event.

The general public is invited to visit the Store & Gallery during seasonal operating hours. Self-guided tours of the campus and the studios are available during the Annual Open House (first Sunday in May), and during the workshop season on Saturdays & Sundays from 2pm - 5pm.

Volunteers are always needed for special events and ALWAYS appreciated.

Peters Valley enriches lives through the learning, appreciation and practice of the art of fine craft.
